Ecologia  has  been awarded  the remediation  works  a  brownfield  site  which  also  included  part of a  former  Gasworks site in Kent.  The  remediation  works  will  include  the  excavation, complex  sorting   and  treatment of soils  for  the  entire  site  once  the  above  ground  demolition  works  have been  completed  by  another  contractor.  On  site  treatment  will  consist of  a ex-situ  bioremediation,  and  localised  ISCO in  hotspot  areas.  Disposal  to  landfill will be necessary for some  untreatable  material if the material reuse criteria set out in the strategy cannot be met.
