As such an early understanding of the issues and risks is vital in any project.
Early engagement of experienced practitioners can help manage these risks and ensure waste practices are undertaken within the complex legal and regulatory regime as well as provide sustainable and cost-effective materials management solutions.
Ecologia has experienced Chartered Waste Managers and Qualified Persons (under the CL:AIRE Definition of Waste Code of Practice) who have helped a diverse range of Clients including; Property Developers; Contractors; and within the Public Sector reduce costs and increasing the sustainability of the works.
Ecologia has been key in the delivery of one of the largest materials management exercises undertaken in the UK to date. Engaged as the materials specialists by a Tier 1 Contractor at Crossrail, Ecologia supervised and oversaw the transfer of over 3 million tonnes of Crossrail spoil from across London to Wallasea Island in Essex by ship for the creation of a new wetland reserve. This project won the BB award for best reuse of materials in 2016.
