Ecologia can undertake groundwater investigation and monitoring programs from the drilling and construction of monitoring wells to specific specifications to monitoring the groundwater using up-to-date equipment and techniques, aquifer/pump tests, through to risk assessments using Environment Agency approved procedures (R&D Report P20). Using the tiered approach within the P20 methodology on and off-site receptors are identified and site-specific data is applied to models in order to evaluate risk.

Ecologia regularly reviews current water guideline values generated by national and international organisations for assessment of water samples taken from site and analysed at an external UKAS accredited laboratory these published values provide an indication of the condition of the groundwater at the site.

Ecologia is also able to apply to provide a more predictive approach using the probabilistic CONSIM model and is equipped to provide detailed assessments for sites with complex geology.
