Florin graduated from the ‘Babes – Bolyai University’, Cluj – Napoca, Romania in 2001 with a degree in Geology and Geography (UK equivalent – BSc. with honours).

After his studies Florin was employed by ‘Napoca Technical Collage’ as Geography teacher till 2003. In 2004 Florin graduated a two-year post-university studies of Applied Informatics Programming at ‘Technical University’ of Cluj Napoca, Romania.

After a stage as a geologist at Resido, Romania (marble / stone producer), Florin joined Intergeo, Romania, an international environmental consultancy company, in 2005. In this role Florin was involved in numerous contaminated land site investigations at petrochemical sites and fuel station, as well as office-based studies addressing a range of contamination issues.

Florin joined Ecologia in July 2007 as an Environmental Scientist and since joining the company, he has been involved in a number of sites across the UK undertaking desk studies, phase 1 walkovers, phase 2 intrusive ground investigations and remediation projects.

Since 2014 Florin has been working in Ecologia’s Environmental Claims team, project managing complex claims associated with commercial and domestic oil spill from initial site walkover through phase 2 intrusive investigation and implementation of both sustainable and conventional remediation solutions to the full satisfaction of many clients.

Florin is a Chartered Environmentalist and holds WAMITAB-Level 4 Certificate in Waste & Resource Management. Since September 2022 Florin leads the Environmental Claims team in Sittingbourne.
